Hello! Thank you for your interest in Aditi’s Monologue. 

I am Aditi Mathur Kumar. I’m an award-winning published author from India, a Digital Advertising professional, a TEDx Speaker (from before it became too blasé for everyone, including myself), an Army Wife, a proud and probably over-indulgent millennial mother, a 40-Under-40 Winner by Agency Reporter, A Campaign Asia Winner, and a lot more. My problem, in fact, is that I am spread across a lot of categories, and an even bigger issue is that I write about all. But, so far – so good.

Aditi’s Monologue started in 2006 (as a blog on Blogspot) because I wanted to talk uninterrupted. Since then, I have been writing) non-stop about my Army Wife Life, Pop Culture moments that strike me, Parenting experiences in my journey as a mom, my Travel Experiences, Hotel and Resort Reviews, Lifestyle topics in general, and well, about life itself. There is no Niche here, only pure honesty and humor. Slice of life, if you may.

Is this too many things? Maybe. But I believe life isn’t lived in neat categories. The same woman who cracks a campaign pitch at 11am might also be googling “best snack for kids’ exams” at 3pm and reading about cognitive biases at 9pm. Why not write the way we live: whole, messy, layered, human?

This blog has won a lot of awards, btw. Don’t let the current un-keep fool you. I still get a lot of visits, thank God for some good SEO I practiced early on ad kept it updated. This blog is also the reason I found the courage to write my first book: Soldier & Spice: An Army Wife’s Life.

  • Operation Payback: Published in 2023, this is a poignant story of a Veer Naari (war widow) who rises above the usual to serve a larger purpose and joins the Army.
  • Love, Whatever That Means: Banter, yearning and long-distance Army romance. It will make you swoon.
  • This Heartbreak: A poetry collection that I published during Covid. Heartbreak – no pun intended – poems that will make you a tad sad, but will also serve catharsis (in a good way)
